All of the four teams which took the start to VLN race 6 at the Nordschleife with a KTM X-BOW GT4 scored good results. The outstanding result hereby was a 15th place achieved by the brothers Johannes and Ferdinand Stuck which of course at the same time represented a class win. “What a fantastic weekend. After our unlucky end in the qualifying two weeks ago, we now had an absolutely perfect car. Ferdi did a brilliant job and as far as I am concerned, I was right away in the flow after the start of my stint and with the permanent smile in my face, you could have seen how much I enjoyed racing. We are getting faster and faster from race to race”, said a delighted Johannes Stuck.
The duo Arne Hoffmeister and Benjamin Mazatis was able to go the pace of the two Stuck brothers over a long distance. However, Mazatis, who made his debut at the Nordschleife, was stopped during his stint shortly before the race end with a technical failure in his car. “I would never have thought that, together with Arne, I would have been able to fight for the victory in the Cup classification and for a top 20 result. It was great fun and I can well imagine to be part of the Cup next year”, said the newcomer who was nevertheless happy.
So second place in the Cup went to Nils Jung and Florian Wolf who had to retire in the previous VLN race through no fault of their own. “Place 22 overall, of course this is superb”, said Jung and Wolf added: “We gained moreover some valuable points in the Cup classification, so after all the bad luck at the last event, we are of course twice as glad.” Into third position finished the father-and-son duo Axel and Max Friedhoff who became 26th and thus made it into the top thirty after a superior performance. “Now, we slowly start to understand the new car. It is more and more fun every time. And the result is just amazing”, said Axel Friedhoff.
After three of six rounds in the KTM X-BOW-Cup and with 24 points, Johannes and Ferdinand Stuck have now moved into the lead of the overall classification. Nils Jung and Florian Wolf in second place have scored 16 points, Axel and Max Friedhoff are following in third position with 13 points.
