A presentation of Michael Bork

Michael Bork assumes the function as VLN e.V. & Co. oHG Head of Sport with immediate effect and as permanent Race Director starting from next season. The 57 years old motor traffic operations manager is married, he lives and works in Brilon, North Rhine-Westphalia. Since about 35 years, Bork has been caught by the motor sport fever. “It is a big challenge for me to continue the process of modernising and professionalising the VLN”, Bork says in view of his new tasks.

From 1978 until 1888, Bork competed in various gravel and asphalt rallies and slaloms. For the sake of his family, he took things easier in his active career after ten years. During this decade, however, he passed the examinations as Clerk of the Course Races/ Rallies and as Steward. Meanwhile, Bork can look back onto 30 years of experience as Clerk of the Course and as Steward in the organisation and the management of automobile sport events. An extensive experience from which the VLN will take increased profit in the future. Since 2012, Bork is an International DMSB Steward. He is regularly appointed to act as a Steward in the DTM, DKM, DRM and the ADAC GT Masters. Bork is Clerk of the Course at the Nürburgring ADAC GT Masters. Moreover, his substantiated work within the organisation of the ADAC Westfalen where he is active as automobile sport consultant and as member of the Sports Commission is very much appreciated. Since 2017, he if furthermore member of the DMSB Specialised Commission for Circuit Racing.
